How billiards parlors run on Strikee

Per-frame floor, credit ledger, and the cashbook in one place.

Billiards parlors operate on the same per-frame economics as snooker and pool, with the same hidden math at peak hour: which customer is on which table, how many frames they've played, who's paying cash, who's on a tab, and what they ordered from the counter. Strikee was written by an owner whose Saturday close used to take till 1 AM with a calculator. The floor view holds the live count, the credit ledger holds running balances, and the cashbook merges both at end of day with the till already matched.

Per-frame and per-hour billing modes coexist on the same table, so a regular who plays six frames and a walk-in who books an hour can both be served without switching systems. Split modes — loser-pays, three-player splits, multi-tab — handle the actual payment situations real players create. Pause / resume on the same tab means a customer who steps away for a phone call doesn't fall off the floor and lose their accumulated frames.

Credit is where most billiards parlors lose money quietly. A regular runs a tab for three Saturdays in a row, the marker forgets to mark it down, the regular ghosts on the fourth Saturday. The credit watchlist flags this on Friday — before the next Saturday — with a one-tap WhatsApp reminder. The retention dashboard tracks the 28-day return cohort so you can see which regulars are slowing down before they fully stop.

Worked example

A typical Saturday at a 4-table parlor

6:00 PM: tables T-01 and T-02 live with walk-ins, T-03 starts a tournament-style 3-way split (loser pays). 8:30 PM: regulars on T-04 open a tab, order chai and packaged snacks from the counter. 10:45 PM: T-03 split settled across cash and UPI; T-04 tab pushed to next visit. 11:14 PM: lock day. Cash matches till. UPI tally reconciled. Two credit settlements rolled forward. Next-morning P&L PDF auto-generated for CA.

What we're not yet

Frame-by-frame video archive, automated handicap calculations across leagues, and integrated billiards league standings are on the roadmap but not shipping today. For everything else — sessions, credit, cashbook, multi-table pricing, retention, POS — the public-beta build runs production-grade.

Common questions about Strikee for billiards

How is billiards billed differently from snooker?
Same engine. Strikee handles per-frame, per-game, and per-hour billing on the same table. You pick the mode when a session starts, and split modes (loser-pays, three-player split, multi-tab) work the same way snooker pays.
Can my regulars run a tab?
Yes. Set a credit limit per customer; Strikee tracks the running balance and surfaces overdue tabs on the watchlist before peak hours. One-tap WhatsApp settle-up link is part of the flow.
Do I need separate accounts for snacks/refreshments?
No. POS items (chai, soft drinks, packaged snacks, equipment rentals) land on the same customer ticket as the table billing, and the cashbook reconciles both lines in one entry at close.
What's included in the ₹399/mo beta price?
Everything on this page — unlimited tables, unlimited customers, unlimited sessions, full credit ledger, daily cashbook, POS module. Price is locked for the first 50 clubs joining beta.
