Badminton venue economics are slot economics. Peak hours (7-10 PM weekdays, mornings and evenings on weekends) carry the venue; off-peak hours either fill via memberships or sit empty. Strikee handles both pricing models on the same court — peak and off-peak rates per slot, separate weekend rates if you run them, and the slot board surfaces every court's utilisation in real time so your manager can see whether the day's on track without opening a spreadsheet.

Court bookings rarely come in alone. A standard slot includes shuttle rental, sometimes racquet rental, and often refreshments after the game. The POS layer captures all three on the same bill so the booking, the inventory hit, and the payment land on one receipt — instead of three separate counter entries that have to be reconciled at close. Customer credit handles the regular who books a Tuesday slot every week and pays monthly: tab opens automatically, settles when they hit the limit or end of cycle.

Recurring bookings are where badminton differs from per-frame sports. The same 8 PM slot every Thursday for the same 4 players for 6 months is normal. The customer profile shows the run-rate so cancellations are visible immediately instead of three weeks later when you notice the slot's been empty.

A typical weekend morning at a 4-court venue

8:00 AM: morning league flight starts on courts B-01 and B-02. 9:30 AM: walk-in casual booking grabs B-03 for 60 min. 10:30 AM: corporate team books all 4 courts for a 90-min round-robin. 12:30 PM: regulars on B-04 settle a 6-week tab via UPI. End of session, slot board shows 91% utilisation, three credit balances reduced, shuttle inventory updated; cashbook closed without a manual entry.

What we're not yet

Tournament ladders with seeded brackets, integrated coaching session billing tied to a specific coach's payout, and per-player shuttle usage analytics are on the roadmap but not shipping today. For everything else — slot bookings, peak / off-peak pricing, POS, credit, multi-court utilisation, daily cashbook — the public-beta build runs production-grade.
