How snooker & pool clubs run on Strikee

Built around the actual operating rhythm of a club.

Snooker and pool clubs run on three numbers a paper register can't keep straight: frame count per session, credit balance per regular, and what came in by mode (cash vs UPI vs tab) at end of day. Strikee was written by an owner whose Saturday close used to take till 1 AM with a calculator. The floor view holds the live count, the credit ledger holds the running balance, and the cashbook merges both at 11 PM with the till already matched.

Per-frame pricing handles the tournament-style payment (loser pays, three players splitting one frame, walk-ins joining mid-session) without forcing your marker to do mental arithmetic at the counter. Per-hour pricing for time-bound sessions is built in alongside, so a club that runs both models on different tables doesn't need two systems. Pause / resume on the same tab means a regular who steps away for a phone call doesn't fall off the floor and lose their accumulated frames.

Credit is where most clubs lose money quietly. A regular runs a tab for three Saturdays in a row, the marker forgets to mark it down, the regular ghosts on the fourth Saturday. The credit watchlist flags this on Friday — before the next Saturday — with a one-tap WhatsApp reminder. The retention dashboard tracks the 28-day return cohort so you can see which regulars are slowing down before they fully stop.

Worked example

A typical Saturday at a 6-table club

6:00 PM: tables T-01 to T-04 live, two walk-ins waiting. 7:30 PM: regulars start trickling in — three on tabs. 9:15 PM: a tournament-style 3-way split on T-05 (loser pays). 11:14 PM: lock day. Cash matches till. UPI tally reconciled. Three credit settlements rolled forward. Next-morning P&L PDF auto-generated; CA gets it without a follow-up question.

What we're not yet

Frame-by-frame video archive, automated handicap calculations across leagues, and integrated pool league standings are on the roadmap but not shipping today. Snooker-only world ranking integration is a later release. For everything else — sessions, credit, cashbook, tournaments, multi-table pricing, retention — the public-beta build is what runs the founder's original club from 900 km away.

Common questions about Strikee for snooker

How does per-frame pricing work in Strikee?
Start a session, pick per-frame mode and set the rate. The frame counter increments through the session; total cost is rate × frames at end-of-session. Losers-pay mode tracks who lost which frame.
Can customers run a credit tab?
Yes. Each customer has a credit limit and a running balance. Sessions, item sales, and tournament fees can all be billed to the tab. The owner dashboard flags balances exceeding the credit limit.
How do split payments work?
At end-of-session, pick split-payment mode and enter each payer's share with their payment method (cash, UPI, card, or credit). Each share is recorded against the right customer record.
Can I run a snooker or pool tournament with this?
Yes. Create the tournament, add participants, choose knockout or round-robin, generate the bracket with seeding, and score matches. The bracket page updates live and is shareable on WhatsApp.
Why a beta — is this safe for my club?
Strikee is in public beta because we're opening it to a first cohort of 50 clubs. The software has been running at the founder's own snooker club in Gujarat for two years and at one other live tenant. Beta means the price is locked at ₹399/mo for early adopters, not that the software is unstable.
